About the Event
Calling all filmmakers! The Poulsbo 47.7 Hour Film Challenge is back for our second year and we're looking to recruit some crews to put themselves to the test and make a film in only 47.7 hours. Why 47.7 and not a simple 48? Well, that number happens to be the latitude of our dear home of Poulsbo, so we thought we'd get cute with the marketing.
Last year we had 9 amazing teams register for the inaugural event! The grand prize was a $10k contract with Visit Kitsap Peninsula to produce a commercial promoting the wonderful attractions Poulsbo has to offer. You can view that commercial here! The audience award winner received $1k in hard cash!
This year the awards will be a $2k contract with the newly formed Peninsula Film Commission headed up by Patrick Sheehan to create a sizzle reel/fake movie trailer for the Kitsap and Olympic Peninsulas.…
